Dear NHA members, friends, and neighbors,
Thank you for supporting the efforts of the Newtown Historic Association in 2021. We look forward to an exciting 2022 as we put the pandemic behind us and look forward to operating a full community schedule of events this year.
The lifeblood of our organization are the many people who volunteer to protect and preserve the historic character of our town, along with the many buildings we operate and preserve. To the many volunteers who help us throughout the year to maintain the Court Inn and our gardens, or work at the Callahan Research Center, thank you for your support and generosity. We would like to extend special thanks to the support staff who work at our Callahan Research Center helping community members with their research.
To our members, we thank you for the financial support and your participation in our events. Your financial contributions and moral support help us continue our preservation efforts to protect historic Newtown. We also thank our corporate members and sponsors whose support help us to do even more for our community. We ask our members to support these corporate sponsors as a way of thanking them for supporting the NHA.
I would like to personally thank the countless volunteers who assist us with the many community events we hold each year—the Spring Cleanup, Garden Walk, Market Day, Historic Walking Tour, and Holiday Open House Tour to name a few. Without your help, we would not be able to continue to host these events for our community.
Lastly, a reminder that there is a way you can financially support the Newtown Historic Association on a regular basis without it costing you any money. If you name the NHA on your Amazon Smile account, Amazon will donate a portion of each eligible purchase to our association. This adds up over the year and is a great way to say, “I care about the historic preservation of Newtown!”
We hope to see you at our 2022 events. Please bring along your friends and be proud to show off historic Newtown.
THANK YOU,
Barry Fleck
President, Newtown Historic Association
