Historic Walking Tour

Join the NHA for a Historic Walking Tour of one of the areas of Newtown on Friday, September 16th at 6:00pm – weather permitting.
The tour will begin at the Half Moon Inn, 105 Court St. Newtown and will be led by Jeffrey Marshall. Mr. Marshall has over 40 years of experience in historic preservation and land conservation and is the past-President of the Heritage Conservancy. He is the author of “Bucks County Farmhouses” and numerous other books regarding Bucks County history. His most recent book, “Barnstorming in Eastern Pennsylvania & Beyond” was published this past December. He is on the Board of Directors of the National Barn Alliance and a Board Member and Past President of the Historic Barn and Farm Foundation of Pennsylvania. Jeff Marshall is also the past- President of the Pennsylvania Land Trust and a former member of Preservation Pennsylvania’s board of directors.
The tour route will be determined by a vote of the attendees and will feature architecturally significant Newtown buildings in the Borough. Jeff will share his wealth of knowledge, passion for the history of Newtown and provide an enjoyable stroll through town while doing it!
