The Newtown Historic Association (NHA) is hosting a self-guided Garden Tour of Newtown Borough and Newtown Township on Saturday June 24, 2023. The tour will wind through the lovely streets of Newtown Borough and into parts of the Township.

The Newtown Trolley Bridge over Newtown Creek was completed in late 1896 by the Newtown Electric Street Railway Company. Come and learn about the Newtown Creek Bridge Project which includes plans to build a pedestrian bridge at the old Newtown Trolley Bridge site as presented by Mike Sellers, President and Co-Founder of the Newtown Creek Coalition.

This annual event is designed as a self-guided walking tour of the historic properties and farmhouses scattered throughout the Tyler State Park grounds. This year, the self-guided tour will begin at 10am at the Boathouse Pavilion on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Join us for this fascinating historical presentation about the impact the Doan Gang had on Newtown and our fledgling country during the Revolutionary War. Presented by the Mercer Museum, in conjunction with the NHA and the Newtown Theatre.
